About the Event
Come join Rabbi Barclay and the TNS community Wednesday, January 5th @ 7:30pm for a special evening of study in our monthly Talmud & Tobacco session. The topic will be:
"War & Peace; Conflict & Resolution: A Jewish Path During Challenging Times"
We are all aware of the conflicts going on in our nation and the world, but how does Judaism teach us to resolve conflict? Is there really such a thing as "enemies", and how are we to treat them? When is "war" ok, and what are the guidelines? How do we transition from conflict to peace?
These and other issues will be dealt with in a class that is to help start the healing process for the conflicts that will undoubtedly arise post-election. Passions on both sides of the political aisle are high, but our Sages give us pathways and guidelines to not only survive conflict, but to bring peace into the world.
Like all programming at Temple Ner Simcha, this class is free of charge; and is open to all adults: men and women, and people of all knowledge and experience levels. Complimentary premium cigars will be provided as always, and there is a non-smoking section for those who would like to learn about the topic without being affected by the smoke.
