Introduction to Talmud
This month's topic will begin with a brief introduction to Talmud: What is Talmud? Why is it so important in Judaism? Why are we taught that it holds the secrets of the Universe, and how can those who are not fluent in Hebrew negotiate through it successfully?
The evening will then continue with a special session of "Ask the Rabbi" (not "let's try to stump the rabbi! ??") Bring your burning questions and issues and find some of the Jewish answers through dialogue with Rabbi Barclay as we study together.
Like all programming at Temple Ner Simcha, this class is free of charge; and is open to all adults: men and women, and people of all knowledge and experience levels. Complimentary premium cigars will be provided as always, and there is a non-smoking section for those who would like to learn about the topic without being affected by the smoke.
